As many of you know, tomorrow is the National Tax Day Tea Party. At the rally in Salt Lake City at the Federal Building I have an opportunity to address the assembled crowd of patriots. I felt that I would post my remarks here first:Thomas Paine wrote, “These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot, will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.” My friends and fellow patriots, these are the times that try men’s souls. Every day we hear about more government oversight and shrinking civil liberties.
My friends let me tell you a short story; in the year 1773 King George and Parliament decided that the East India Company needed some help to survive and therefore enacted the Tea Act, for the American colonist, this was just another occurrence of “taxation without representation.” I wonder if parliament used the excuse that the East India Company was too big to fail. In response to this as well as other acts of parliament, incensed patriots in the colonies formed together and became known as the “Sons of liberty.” It was these Sons of Liberty that dressed as Native Americans, boarded three ships in Boston Harbor, and hurled crates full of tea to the bottom of the harbor.
My friends, are we the Sons and Daughters of Liberty? My fellow Patriots, will we not unfurl that banner which reads “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?” Then you, my Patrioti

To the Republicans and Democrats who have sold out the American People, have let the American Dream become a hiss and byword, and who have trampled upon the Constitution in the vain hopes of change and trickle up poverty, this is our Tea Party!
